Well long time no hear! Sheila and I have been talking about where we want to go for a couple of weeks r&r in June. Various destinations have been considered, discussed, researched, talked about, prodded, poked and generally pulled to bits, and the only constant within this process has been Symi.

When all the unpleasantness with the other lot started we decided to pass on future visits. It's been 8 years since we were last on the island and the gnawing away at our collective consciousnesses is becoming difficult to ignore. So ...

We want to stay on Symi 2nd/3rd week in June 2010 (2 weeks). We can fly from Gatwick, Heathrow, Bristol or Cardiff. There must be an ideal combination out there of departure date, airport and ferry crossing which will minimise hanging around and ideally avoid an overnight stay on Rodos (although it's not out of the question if needs must). We've looked at EasyJet from Gatwick on a Saturday and it has some good timings but involves an overnighter on Rodos.

Any thoughts? Having decided that this is where we want to be, we now want to make it as stress-free as possible. I know this request sounds like I'm asking you all to do the sort of work I should be doing myself, but I hope you'll take my request in the spirit in which it is intended, i.e. point a fellow Symi fan towards the best way of getting there.
