Jon Lilygreen (22) who hails from Wales will sing 'Life Looks Better in Spring' in the fiercely-contested, Cypriot final. The vocalist is a natural talent and musical revelation; say the Cypriot team who unearthed the newcomer.
Euro song-writers Nasos Lambrianides and Melis Constantinou are strong advocates in Jon’s great balladeer skills.

“It would be an honour to represent Cyprus this year – Nasos and Melis have written a fantastic track that really could win Eurovision. The guys helped make my dreams come true when they invited me to perform ‘life looks better in spring’ – I won’t let them down – and I’ll be singing for Cyprus with all my heart!”
Jon, who lives in Newborn jets over to Cyprus to wow the 5-member jurors and voting public. His bibliography refers to studying at the College Gwent of Wales, whilst avidly to pursue his musical goals through the singing, guitar and composition.
“I also recognise that I need to win the respect and admiration of the Cypriot audience, and I want to say that it’s a huge privilege for me to get that opportunity”. One of Jon’s main influences is his father – ‘he would play in the front room when I was a boy and I just loved that simple raw connection with the music’.
Jon, will be joined on stage by the 'Islanders', a mini ‘Euro’ band invested with musicians from Cyprus, Wales, Norway and Scotland. The names are Charalambos Kallona (bass), Sylvia Stand (piano), Jon Gregory (drummer/producer), Katherine Squire and Sean Watts (backing-vocalists).
